The outcomes of developing targeted outreach materials on the protected areas in Iraq would help raise awareness and build capacity towards achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:
- SDG 15 Life on Land – by promoting protected areas and addressing biodiversity loss,
- SDG 13 Climate Action – through communicating key environmental trends and climate risks highlighted in GEO-6,
