Arab Region Environmental Information Network (AREIN)-UNEP
(November 1st, 2013 – February 29th, 2016) CEDARE Provided technical support and training to enable countries participating in the Arab Region Environmental Information Network to contribute substantive information and data services to the UNEP Live knowledge platform. Also, technical support and training to enable countries to use the National Reporting Toolkit (NRT) for the delivery of data to support environmental assessment and reporting, including data for indicators to measure progress towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The data was sent to UNEP to upload into the NRT toolkit to facilitate and support environmental assessment and reporting.
CEDARE eAcademy conducted an on-line training on “how to be an efficient user of the Arab Region Environmental Information Network (AREIN) website”. Capacity building of the AREIN Project focal points at concerned Arab countries was the main objective. The three-day technical trainings covered areas such as browsing, data entry, and edits or deletion of data.
