Exciting News! Waste2Fashion Project is Officially Approved!
We are thrilled to announce that the European Commission funded project, “Developing a Pilot Circular System for Post-Consumer Textile Waste in the Mediterranean,” has been officially approved under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme with an outstanding score of 92/100! Waste2fashion will address the shared challenges of Egypt, Italy, Lebanon, Spain, and Tunisia.
Cedare is a member of the Consortium of this initiative, which is the top-ranked project under the “Transition to a Circular Economy” objective, making it a milestone achievement in sustainable textile waste management.
About Waste2Fashion
The project aims to help Mediterranean countries transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy by minimizing the environmental impact of post-consumer textile waste and unlocking socio-economic opportunities in the growing sustainable fashion sector.
Key Highlights:
• Innovative Pilots – Two pilot programs will focus on textile waste collection, reuse, recycling, and prevention strategies.
• Regional Impact – Tackling shared challenges in Egypt, Italy, Lebanon, Spain, and Tunisia to develop scalable circular economy models.
• Empowering Designers & Startups – Supporting sustainable fashion initiatives and material revalorization.

مشروع Waste2Fashion تم اعتماده رسميًا! 
يسعدنا أن نعلن أن المشروع الممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي، “تطوير نظام دائري تجريبي لتدوير المنسوجات بعد الاستهلاك في منطقة البحر الأبيض المتوسط”، تم اعتماده رسميًا ضمن برنامج Interreg NEXT MED وذلك بنتيجة متميزة بلغت 92/100!. سوف يتناول مشروع Waste2Fashion التحديات المشتركة في كلٍ من مصر وإيطاليا ولبنان وإسبانيا وتونس.
سيدارى عضو في الاتحاد الخاص بهذه المبادرة، وهو المشروع الأعلى تصنيفًا ضمن هدف “الانتقال إلى اقتصاد دائري”، مما يجعله إنجازًا مهمًا في تدوير المنسوجات المستدامة.
نبذة عن مشروع Waste2Fashion
يهدف المشروع إلى مساعدة دول البحر الأبيض المتوسط على الانتقال إلى اقتصاد دائري وفعال من حيث الموارد، وذلك من خلال تقليل التأثير البيئي لنفايات المنسوجات بعد الاستهلاك، وإتاحة الفرص على المستوى الاجتماعى والاقتصادي ضمن قطاع الأزياء المستدامة المتنامي.
أهم النقاط: • التجارب المبتكرة – سيتم تنفيذ برنامجين تجريبيين للتركيز على جمع النفايات المنسوجة، وإعادة الاستخدام وإالتدوير واستراتيجيات الوقاية. • الأثر الإقليمي – معالجة التحديات المشتركة في مصر وإيطاليا ولبنان وإسبانيا وتونس لتطوير نماذج اقتصادية دائرية قابلة للتوسع. • تمكين المصممين والشركات الناشئة – دعم المبادرات المتعلقة بالأزياء المستدامة وإعادة تقييم المواد. • السياسات ومشاركة المعرفة – تقديم حلول قابلة للتنفيذ لصناع السياسات وقادة الصناعة عبر البحر الأبيض المتوسط.
تمت الموافقة على نسبة 10% فقط من إجمالي 630 مقنرح، مما يؤكد التزامنا المشترك بالابتكار المستدام.
يتم البدء في التنفيذ قريبًا، ونحن متحمسون للمستقبل القادم!
